HBO isn’t TV, apparently, which suggests that TV is not HBO by description. Yet that slogan works or does not work (and we could almost certainly go a few rounds over that one), one thing that TV absolutely is (at the very least nowadays) is SMART.
The humble tv, seemingly saddened at being derided as a ‘idiot box’ for so long, has eventually unequivocal to ‘wise up’. In short, a smart Television can now present many of the same features as a pc or tablet, which is excellent when you have people over and want to watch ‘The Best of Failblog’ on Youtube.
In addition to housing any quantity of downloadable applications that contain fully interactive versions of Netflix, Facebook and many, many others, the smart Television also permits the viewer to surf the net, just like they may on an iPad.
Get this, Samsung’s new 22-Inch Smart Television will still cleverly learn what you like to watch and suggest comparable programmes, it will then automatically seek through live broadcasts and make a choice of suggestions for you. I swear I’m not making this up. I mean, I constantly guessed TV could do more to drag its weight, but a Television that takes the hassle from channel surfing!? I never thought I would see the day.
The Samsung 22-Inch smart Television can be the one smart Television with the full catch-up service, a service that includes BBC iPlayer, ITV player, Demand 5 and 4OD, meaning you’ll never miss out on your favorite programmes yet again (unless you, like me, often forget to watch them and then iPlayer deletes them…The TV may be smarter now, but I’m still as stupid, sadly).
You can also wirelessly link between your smartphone and tablet, enabling you to view whatever’s in your little screen, by transferring it to a big screen. I could go on all day about the sheer quantity of awesome things this TV does, but it appears odd to write about a cool product when I could, in fact, be actively using it.
Hooking an Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 up to the display is pure delight, but the fun doesn’t end here; the Samsung 22-Inch LED TV also features a crystal clear, full High definition 1080p widescreen, which will craft an incredible cinematic experience when connected to a Blu Ray player and a 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound system. You will be the envy of our neighbourhood. Unless they own a racing vehicle, that is.
Oh yeah, these have built-in games. Did I reveal that?
